Travis M. Been, O.D.

Meet Lake County Vision Care‘s experienced and friendly doctor, Travis M. Been.

Dr. Been earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin and received his Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 2016. In addition to his training in primary eye care, Dr. Been is experienced in the areas of pediatrics, contact lens, and the treatment of eye diseases and infections.

Dr. Been is passionate about delivering the highest quality healthcare to his patients and understands that eye health can be a direct reflection of one’s overall health. With that in mind, Dr. Been makes it his mission to not only help his patients see their very best, but to act as an ambassador for their general health. Above all else, Dr. Been loves to make people smile and is honored to serve the Lake County community.

In his spare time, Dr. Been loves to play the piano. He has an ever-growing vinyl record collection and loves to listen to music. He is an avid Chicago Bears fan, despite being born and raised in Wisconsin.  He also enjoys golfing, basketball, and photography. He lives in Ingleside, IL with his wife, son, and two cats.
